Lisa Orkin

Lisa is a comedian and owner/Creative Director of the Radio Ranch. She has traveled the world performing, and starred in a bunch of TV shows and films, And as the head honcho of the Radio Ranch Lisa has written, produced, and voiced 1000's of radio commercials.

On her own life journey, Lisa found that she’d lost her funny and her silliness through divorce, parenthood, jobs, menopause and generally- life stuff (we all have it). All of these stories can be found on Lisa's website Honestly Lisa

Lisa purposely added more funny moments in her life to “bring her funny bone back” and then decided her life’s mission was to teach others how to do it too, because she believes that silliness is the best path to enlightenment and marketing.

“It’s much more fun than sitting on a stupid little tassled pillow trying to meditate and “be present” ~Lisa.

The Ranch Way is the RIGHT Way!

by Steve Cassidy
There are so many commercials that don't offer anything a listener would want to listen to: loud lists of cliches or whatever. And there are many others that, while they may be entertaining, don't do what they're supposed to: sell/tell something to the listener that the advertiser would like them to know. The best darn commercials from the Radio Ranch are engaging and informative. So many of them are great to listen to just for fun. The course is a great peek at how they do it at the Ranch. And the resources supplied with the course are alone worth the price. Anybody and everybody who writes radio copy should take the course.

Dialogue Done Darn Good

by Kevin Skaalure
The Radio Ranch continues to be the shining city on the dialogue hill. Great takeaways here: conflict is your friend; show them...don't tell them; adding a button; taking a walk. Thanks for a fun exercise!

This is a Winning Formula

Some terrific techniques demonstrated. The do's and don't in this tutorial need to be beaten into every radio seller's head. Take time to follow the plan, then your listeners will hear radio spots that keep them listening, and advertisers achieve the results that ensure repeat time buys.
